Cheyney's
Toy
Carolyn has created a music video for James McMurtry’s new song,
“Cheyney’s Toy”, for his upcoming release, “Just
Us Kids”. This music video is about the soldiers in the Iraq
War, from their perspective on the ground, in the hummer, under fire.

Wanda
the Wonderful
Production continues on “Wanda
the Wonderful”. Carolyn and crew spent last summer shooting
HD and film footage in Wyoming and will be shooting on the West Coast
this summer. Carolyn has received three grants to date, as well as
fiscal sponsorship from
Film Arts Foundation (scroll down to Wanda the Wonderful).
Wanda the Wonderful
is a feature length documentary about an adventurous and volatile
woman, my Grandmother Wanda, a wild west sharpshooter. Wanda was
a rebel, toting guns and wearing pants when skirts were the norm.
Joining the circus to escape a ne'er do well husband, she opted
for career and independence over motherhood. Wanda bore seven children
by four different men, performed as a stunt woman and actress in
Hollywood, traveled the world as “Wanda Savage” with
her shooting act, was the temporary Madame of a brothel, met and
married a sheep rancher named Carl Hampton and then "high-tailed
it out of town 'til the heat died down" after she shot this
same man, my Grandfather, in the shoulder. This is a film about
a woman who actually lived the wild west, following her own path
at whatever cost.
